- 1Day 1: Welcome to Vietnam - Hanoi Arrival
Arrive in Hanoi, where you’ll be greeted at the airport and privately transferred to your hotel in the city centre. After check-in, enjoy free time to unwind at your own pace take a leisurely walk through the Old Quarter, sip a traditional Vietnamese coffee, or simply relax and recharge after your journey.

Morning
Begin your second day of travel with a city tour in Hanoi and learn more about the ancient capital. You acquaint yourself with Hanoi Old Quarter’s serene atmosphere and these must-visit sites:
Start exploring Vietnam’s earliest university, the Temple of Literature, where the country’s aristocracy, mandarins, and elite learned.
Come to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where the legendary founding father of contemporary Vietnam is currently resting in eternal peace. Then head to One Pillar Pagoda, the most famous one in Vietnam has a unique design like a lotus blooming from water.

Stop at West Lake and Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda, which is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi with a more than 1,500-year history. Emerge yourself in the ancient architecture from the Ly dynasty period and the fresh atmosphere of West Lake.
Lunch will be provided at an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum will be seen from the outside from June to August. You must dress formally so shorts, miniskirts, sleeveless shirts, and tank tops are not allowed.Evening Itinerary:
At 17:30, meet your guide in the hotel lobby for this immersive Old Quarter food tour. Experience the thrill of sipping egg coffee Hanoi (Ca Phe Trung) on the iconic Train Street, blending excitement, a touch of fear, and pure magic as trains rumble by.

After breakfast, leave the bustling streets of Hanoi behind and drive through scenic mountain roads towards Mai Chau, a tranquil valley home to the White Thai ethnic minority. Upon arrival, check into your lakeside resort, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rice paddies.
Enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch, then set off on a cycling tour through nearby villages, passing stilt houses and lush rice fields. Meet local artisans who specialise in weaving and learn about the region’s centuries-old traditions.

As evening approaches, experience a traditional Thai dance performance followed by a regional dinner, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

After breakfast, begin the day with an immersive exploration of Mai Chau by electric car. The valley is framed by emerald rice fields and dotted with villages where families still live in traditional stilt houses. As you pass through, you will see daily life unfolding at a gentle pace, from farmers tending to their crops to children playing along quiet village paths. This is a chance to truly connect with the spirit of rural Vietnam, where traditions remain deeply rooted in the landscape.
Following lunch, depart Mai Chau and enjoy a scenic drive towards Ninh Binh.

The journey takes you through winding country roads, past farmlands, rivers, and limestone hills that hint at the dramatic scenery awaiting you. Arriving in the late afternoon, check in to your hotel and take in the extraordinary setting of Ninh Binh, often called the “Halong Bay on land”. Towering karst cliffs rise above serene waterways and rice paddies, creating one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Vietnam and a striking contrast to the simplicity of Mai Chau’s rural charm.

07:00: After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin a full-day exploration of Ninh Binh – a land of breathtaking landscapes, spiritual heritage, and rich biodiversity.
You’ll also visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam and a recognised UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. While there, take time to explore the Temple of King Dinh and King Le. These historic structures feature intricate wooden and stone carvings crafted by artisans in the 17th century, offering insight into Vietnam’s imperial past. Lighting incense at the temple provides a quiet moment of reflection.

The day includes lunch at a local restaurant, giving you a taste of regional Vietnamese cuisine
Next, enjoy a peaceful sampan ride in Tam Coc, often called “Halong Bay on land.” The small wooden boat, rowed by skillful local women (sometimes using their feet!), will glide you along the emerald Ngo Dong River. On both sides, towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically above rice fields that change colors with the seasons – a vivid green in spring and golden during harvest time. You will pass through three natural caves – Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba – each with its own unique shapes of stalactites and cool, mysterious atmosphere. This journey offers a perfect blend of tranquility and stunning natural beauty.
After a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Thung Nham Bird Park, a hidden ecological gem of Ninh Binh. Nestled in a lush valley surrounded by karst mountains, the park is home to over 40 species of birds and thousands of individuals. As you explore by boat and on foot, you’ll also discover natural caves such as But Cave (Buddha Cave) and Vai Gioi Cave, each carrying legends told by locals. In the late afternoon, as the sun begins to set, witness a magical spectacle: flocks of storks, herons, and other birds flying back to their nests, filling the sky with movement and sound.

Evening: Return to your hotel for a rest after a full day of discovery.

Morning – Transfer to Halong Bay
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and take in the fresh morning atmosphere before checking out.
At around 07:30 – 08:00, you will be picked up for your journey to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The drive via highway takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival at the cruise pier, complete the check-in procedures before boarding a speedboat or tender to reach your cruise. During the transfer, admire the stunning limestone islets rising from the emerald waters while the cruise manager introduces the itinerary and highlights of the bay.

Midday – Welcome on Board
Once on board, you will be warmly welcomed with a refreshing drink. The cruise manager and crew will provide a short briefing, including safety instructions and an overview of your journey.
A delicious seafood lunch will be served as the cruise begins to sail through the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay.
Afternoon – Explore Halong Bay
After lunch, enjoy a range of activities depending on your cruise itinerary. You may have the opportunity to go kayaking, explore spectacular caves with impressive stalactites, or visit floating fishing communities to learn about local life on the bay.
Return to the cruise to relax and join a Vietnamese cooking class, where you can learn to make traditional spring rolls. Later, enjoy Happy Hour (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) while watching the sunset over the bay.
Evening – Onboard Experience
In the evening, savor a delightful dinner at the onboard restaurant.

Morning – Sunrise & Cruise Experience
If you wake up early, you can join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck before 06:00. This gentle activity is a perfect way to relax, recharge, and enjoy the fresh morning air of Halong Bay.
Afterward, enjoy a light breakfast with Vietnamese tea, coffee, and pastries. Continue exploring the bay with optional activities such as kayaking or visiting caves, depending on your cruise itinerary.
Return to the cruise, prepare for check-out, and enjoy a leisurely brunch while the boat sails past Halong Bay’s iconic limestone formations on the way back to the port.
After disembarking at Tuan Chau Port, your driver will be waiting to transfer you comfortably to your hotel in Hanoi or to Noi Bai International Airport (HAN). End of tour.
